Founded in 2021 by a group of passionate digital nomads, Working on Air was born out of a simple idea: to create a coworking space that blends the comfort of modern work essentials with the magic of island life. When the founding team arrived on Gili Air, they were immediately captivated by its clear waters, gentle pace, and genuine spirit. They saw potential not for building something flashy, but for offering something real.

And so they created a space that mirrors the island itself: a large, treehouse-inspired structure wrapped in greenery, alang-alang, and bamboo, yet equipped with everything a remote worker could need. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi (with multiple backups), ergonomic chairs and desks, private call booths, shaded corners to escape the sun, and open-air spaces to soak in the breeze. It is cozy, functional, and full of character.

What truly sets Working on Air apart, though, is the community.
